Reliable guidance of fish species can be essential to meeting regulatory requirements of projects.

Guidance is often necessary to affect the movement of migratory fish, which might otherwise enter channels and follow routes that are harmful.

In addition to this important environmental role, guidance systems can also help prevent the upstream spread of invasive species such as invasive carp, as well as helping to guide fish into traps for removal.

FGS research into the science of guidance systems and techniques has led to the development of multiple solutions, each of which can be tailored to the needs of a particular project.
